Masked man robs Toppenish store

TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Toppenish police are searching for a man they say robbed a store at gunpoint Tuesday night.

Officers say the suspect entered the business in the 500 block of West 1st Avenue around 11:45 p.m. wearing a mask and holding what appeared to be a pistol. He then demanded money from the store clerks, put an undisclosed amount in a bag, and fled the scene.

After they arrived at the store, officers searched for the suspect but were unable to find him.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male in his late teens, 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches in height, with a skinny build and wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt.
