Marine Corps Reserve and Salvation Army passed out toys donated for Toys for Tots
YAKIMA, Wash.- The Salvation Army and Marine Corps Reserve passed out all the toys you donated for this year’s Toys for Tots.
Over 40 volunteers helped get toys into over 500 people’s cars today at the fairgrounds.
Toys were dropped off at KIMA and other businesses throughout the Yakima Valley to bring toys to kids that might not have any under the tree.
“They know they don't have to worry about buying toys for the kids. They can use their money to spend on their rent or utilities and things like that,” Lieutenant Nicholas Helms with the Salvation Army said.
Helms said they were able to help out about 1000 families if you include the lower valley and wants to thank everyone that helped.
