Man stabbed in the arm on S. 1st Street

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A 31-year-old man was stabbed in the arm Wednesday afternoon, according to Yakima police. It happened on the 2400 block of South 1st Street.

The victim told police he was sitting at the bus stop when a man made a comment and came at him with a knife.

Police arrested the suspected attacker at the Top Foods parking lot.

A witness couldn't believe it happened in front of him.

"I don't know I was just walking up and I was like going to catch the bus and everything and then I saw this guy sitting there and his arm was all cut up, all bloody and stuff," said witness Derek Wimbs.

Officers from several agencies responded.
