Man killed in Selah shootout had long criminal history

SELAH, Wash. -- KIMA learned more about the other deadly officer-involved shooting on Friday near Selah.

The man at the center of it had a long criminal history. Jesse Humphrey had seven felony convictions for things like burglary, arson and illegal gun possession. He was also a convicted sex offender who failed to register with authorities.

Officers killed Jesse Humphrey after he opened fire on them from a mobile home. They traced him there for stealing a cell phone related to a car prowl.
