      Man accused of hit-and-run pleads not guilty

      YAKIMA, Wash. -- A man accused of a hit-and-run appeared in court Monday while the victim of the crime remains in a Seattle hospital.

      Ranulfo Gonzales Marquez pleaded not guilty.

      Police said he hit James Henderson near 3rd and Maple Streets in Yakima last month and then took off.

      Marquez eventually turned himself in.

      Henderson remains in serious condition.
