Local nurse accused of drugging his wife for years

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- A local nurse is accused of drugging his wife for years. Court records say Adam Archibald put the drug "ativan" in his wife's Gatorade to make her fall asleep. It's an anti-anxiety medication.

The woman thought she suffered from sleeping episodes until officers say Archibald admitted what he was doing.

Records from the investigation say the nurse anesthetist drugged her so she would be more agreeable to sexual contact.

Archibald faces three domestic violence charges and cannot contact his wife and four children.
