Kittitas County Search and Rescue to receive $25,000

KITTITAS COUNTY NEWS RELEASE -- The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce that Kittitas County Search and Rescue has been approved for a $25,000 grant from the Puget Sound Energy Foundation.

The grant will be used towards the goal of a second communications vehicle which will be stationed in Upper County to help expedite search and rescue operations.

The PSE Foundation has been a tremendous supporter of Kittitas County Search and Rescue. They were the lead financial supporter of the 2013 Washington State Search and Rescue Conference, which was hosted in Ellensburg by KCSO and KCSR.

The conference was a tremendous training opportunity for Search and Rescue volunteers from all over the world.

A press conference and ceremony is planned on Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at 7PM.

The event will be held in the Naneum Room at the Kittitas County Event Center in Ellensburg, with members of the PSE Foundation presenting an oversized check to Kittitas County Search and Rescue volunteers and Sheriff's Office Administration.
