Investigators rule out kitchen appliances for cause of Heritage University fire
TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Investigators returned Monday to Heritage University to continue searching for answers. Officials say all the hot spots at the campus finally stopped burning.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Investigators removed large pieces from the charred building. They got a closer look inside and began the bulk of the investigation.
The deputy fire marshal hopes the burn patterns will paint a clear picture.
Investigators ruled out their initial theory than an appliance in the kitchen started the fire.
The Heritage University Early Learning Center opened Monday for the time since the fire.
The main university has been open full-time since last Tuesday.
