Inmate captured after escaping Grandview City Jail

GRANDVIEW, Wash. -- A 19-year-old woman escaped from the Grandview jail last Friday.

She somehow walked through an unlocked door while being moved from a cell to a holding facility. Authorities found her hiding in a nearby home. She faces new criminal charges.

This is the third jail break in the Yakima Valley around Thanksgiving over the years. Nine inmates escaped from the Yakima County Jail around Thanksgiving 2005. Another four-inmates escaped from the Sunnyside Jail around Thanksgiving 2006. Now, this one in Grandview.
