House that caught on fire has been torn down
YAKIMA, Wash. -- The house that caught on fire in Yakima earlier this week has now been torn down.
Firefighters put out the flames of the home at the 1700 block of Fruitvale Boulevard, Tuesday afternoon.
Jeff Pfaff with the Yakima Fire Department says the house was completely destroyed.
Parts of Fruitvale were even closed down for a couple of minutes because there aren’t enough fire hydrants in the area.
The Yakima City Buildings Department considered the house unsafe to fire hazards so it was torn down.
