House fire leaves a local family without a home
YAKIMA, Wash. - A house caught fire in the 600 block of South 7th Avenue around 8:30 p.m Tuesday night.
According to reports, the family was home at the time and they heard a popping noise right before they saw the fire.
27 firefighters responded and rescued several pets from the home and one pet had to receive oxygen. The homeowners got out without injury.
Firefighters said the fire was difficult to control and it caused $160,000 in damages.
Fire crews said it looks like it was an electrical fire.
