House fire damages Selah home

SELAH, Wash. -- Fire crews tell KIMA it was an electrical fire that badly damaged a Selah home this evening.

Smoke filled the home on Leonard Lane around dinner time. No one was was home at the time but crews worked to get dogs out.

One man who assisted sustained some minor injuries. A neighbor who saw it says the homeowner recently put money into the house.

"I feel real bad about it because she just had a lot of remodeling done. And, now with the fire, so I feel real bad for her," Rose Tatro said.

We have no word at this time as to the dollar amount of the damage.
