High winds cause damage around the valley
YAKIMA, Wash. -- A high wind warning is in effect for the Yakima Valley until Wednesday morning. It's another round after strong winds knocked out power to hundreds of homes of Monday night.
City workers in Yakima removed three trees that fell downtown.
Yakima County had one tree blocking part of Tieton Reservoir Road.
Power outages were the biggest problem. More than 700 customers lost electricity.
"When I opened the car door to help assist her to get to the hospital, the wind just gusted and literally just about blew me along with the door," said Sherryl Morris who lives in Yakima.
Naches reported no power outages.
Selah, Grandview, Sunnyside and Union Gap did not have to clear any streets.
