Heritage University holds Spring Convocation honoring students' academic achievements
TOPPENISH, Wash.--Several students at Heritage University are being recognized for their academic accomplishments throughout their time on campus.
The school hosted it's annual Spring Convocation on Thursday celebrating those who made the Dean's list from the Fall semester.
Students who've also had a cumulative 4.0 GPA in their academic careers were honored at the event.
For those students being recognized, they say the meaning of these awards extend beyond what they've done in school.
"Being able to not just receive this honor for the hard work that I've put in and the time that I've spent here but for that to show to my family and my younger siblings that are coming up after me to really inspire them and encourage them to invest a lot of their times into their studies and their education," said junior Kayli Berk.
"It's nice just to take a moment and reflect on what I've done and see what other people are doing on campus and just to celebrate because we're all doing great work and having people know of all the different activities happening on campus," said senior Felisa Gonzalez.
Heritage University also awarded two staff members special recognition for the work they've achieved educating students.
