YAKIMA, Wash. -- Hundreds of locals came out to see 16 of the best Northwest high school marching bands compete. The Twelfth Annual Harvest Band Festival is being held in Yakima at Eisenhower High School.

One woman says she just can't get enough of these competitions.

"The atmosphere and the kids-they're just trying so hard. They're doing awesome. They've all practiced so hard it's just awesome to come and see the end product that they have worked so hard for months to put together- it's awesome to see that, said onlooker Marilyn Freisz.

Each marching band is given ten minutes to perform. They're scored by a nine judges, one for each category. The school with the highest score will be announced tonight at nine o'clock.
