Graffiti covered up at house owned by murder victim

YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA told you Monday about a house covered in graffiti that was owned by a high-profile murder victim. Now, that graffiti is being cleaned up.

Yakima requires a property owner to give permission before crews can paint over graffiti. But, because this house was owned by murdered realtor Vern Holbrook, the city had been unable to get the authorization to clean up the graffiti.

Holbrook's stepson gave permission Tuesday for the city to cover up the graffiti. Crews began repainting the house Tuesday afternoon.
