Free baby shower to be offered at Astria Toppenish Hospital
TOPPENISH, Wash. -- Expectant mothers are being offered a free baby shower.
The Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic and Astria Toppenish Hospital are once again partnering to offer Lower Valley moms a baby shower.
The baby shower is open to moms at least 28 weeks pregnant.
Moms will receive food, enjoy games, gifts and a hospital tour.
Community Relations Coordinator for YVFWC Jessica Johnson says, their goal is to provide expectant moms with information about their pregnancy as well as all the services that are available to them.
“We share information on what to expect before, during and after delivery so information on what to expect when they go into labor, what that’s going to feel like, resources that the clinic provides to prepare them for delivery," said Johnson.
The baby shower will take place on Wednesday from nine to 11:30 in the morning at the Astria Toppenish Hospital.
A baby shower for Spanish speaking moms will be offered the same day from 12:30 to 3 in the afternoon.
