Former Yakima Gang Sgt. fights to keep credentials

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A former Yakima police officer is fighting to keep his own credentials. Sergeant Erik Hildebrand resigned while under an internal investigation.

Hildebrand's ability to work as an officer again is now in the hands of the state.

The Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission will review whether he can keep his credentials.

The city of Yakima sent his material to the commission earlier this week.

There's no word when a decision will be made.
