Fire crews still out at Harlan Landing brush fire

YAKIMA & SELAH, Wash. -- Fire crews are still fighting a brush fire that started just after 5 p.m. Monday evening at Harlan Landing between Yakima and Selah. Selah fire crews responded to the call and quickly set up a perimeter around the flames. They say it's tough to put out the fire without being able to taking down the burning trees. Only one crew will stay overnight to ensure that the fire doesn't continue to grow. The incident commander tells Action News with debris and limbs falling from the trees, it was just too dangerous to have multiple crews out fighting the fire. They plan to return tomorrow morning to better access the situation.
