Fire crews say Vantage fire now is at low risk
VANTAGE- Wash.- Fire crews battling the vantage fire say now, the fire isn't a threat to the community.
The fire started on Wednesday on mile post 22 near Vantage Highway, and fire crews say they've reached 50 percent containment.
Deputies at the Kittitas County Sheriff's Department say the fire has burned nearly five thousand acres of land.
They say helicopters are dropping water in hot spot areas, and say it's unsure when the fire will be fully contained.
Authorities have reopened traffic on the Vantage Highway.
They say no one was injured.
