Fire burned building in Gleed completely, destroying a church and home
GLEED, Wash. - People are still recovering from a fire that burned down not only their home, but a place where the community would come together in prayer.
The fire took place at a multi-purpose building off Highway 12 in Gleed where firefighters were able to put the fire out, but the building was burnt to the ground.
Jeff Curtsinger remembers getting his family out and looking back at his home as smoke, turned to flames.
"When the flames busted out of the top of the building, that's when this is real. It's absolutely real," said Curtsinger.
Curtsinger says the community and his faith have helped him get through this and he is already looking at other places to act as a church.
