Feeding the community approxia awareness

YAKIMA, Wash. -- The Childhood Approxia of Speech Association of North America better known as CASACA is taking Action in Yakima.

Local residents Elizabeth Fernandez and Shannon Young are holding the first ever approxia awareness fundraiser in Yakima.
They hope to gain community support and encourage others who struggle with this speech impediment that there is help.

For fifth grader Harley Young, approxia has become part of her everyday life.

"When I tell people I have approxia, it's sort of hard to explain to them again and again", said Harley.

Jordan is her mother's little helper at the event which will be held this Tuesday, July 16th at Abby's Pizza from five to eight p.m.

Twenty-five percent of sales during this time will go to the cause.
