Federal money will come to Yakima County to help jobless rate
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Yakima will get federal money to help people who are unemployed find jobs. Washington state got a six-million-dollar grant for the effort. $387,000 will go to the region that includes Yakima County.
The money will go through WorkSource to work with people who've been jobless more than six months. The first priority will be to hold workshops so job hunters can get up to speed with technology.
