Family gets furnace donated after story airs on KIMA

SELAH, Wash. -- KIMA is taking action for you in response to a Selah family who was getting ready for a winter without heat. A local business installed a new furnace at no charge.

Tim Kramer and his family are on a limited budget. Their old heater broke and couldn't afford to install a new one. CK Systems saw their story on KIMA and donated a new heater.

"Well we won't have to pile on the blankets or wear long underwear to bed, that's what I was doing, that's what the girls were doing," Carole Kramer said.

CK Systems says the equipment and installation was worth around five-thousand dollars.

All Value Electric of Sunnyside provided the electrical work.

It's nice to remember this philanthropy in our community the next time you need to call a heating or electrical company.
