Family friend holding fundraiser for child with brain cancer
YAKIMA, Wash. -- The community is rallying around a Yakima family to help a two-year-old fight a brain tumor. A car wash will be held tomorrow to raise money.
We first told you about Daniel and Natalie Davis' daughter Lanae in May. They found out Lanae had brain cancer about four months ago. Now, Lanae's mom stays in Seattle, and her dad commutes.
A family friend said she just had to get involved and help.
"It's hard to see that you know?" family friend Natasha Lair said. "The child is two years old. She's got her whole life ahead of her, you know, and it just, as soon as I started seeing what they were posting on facebook I was just like wow, you know, I just had this feeling that I had to do something further."
The car wash will be at Auto-Zone on South First Street in Yakima starting at eight a-m.
