Fall back: Daylight-saving time ends this weekend

YAKIMA, Wash. -- It's time to reclaim that hour of sleep you lost this past spring.

That's right, the clocks are being turned back this weekend as daylight-saving time winds to an end for 2012.

Most people will do the switch before hitting the sack Saturday night -- moving the clock hands back one hour before Sunday morning. The change, however, doesn't become official until 2 a.m. Sunday local time.

And of course, this is the time to check your smoke detectors as well - because the last thing you want if a fire breaks out in your home is to have a bunch of useless smoke detectors with dead batteries in them.
