Fake $15K found in Ellensburg drug investigation
ELLENSBURG, Wash. - Police in Ellensburg are cautioning people of fake bills that may be circulating around town.
Anti Crime Detectives with the Ellensburg Police Department found $15,000 of fake bills during a drug investigation, according to a Facebook update posted Wednesday.
Detectives noticed the money was fake from Chinese writing stamped on the bills.
Local businesses had previously reported cases of receiving money with this stamp and turned the fake money in to the department, according to police.
Police continue to investigate this money matter.
