Detectives still investigating reported meth lab near Yakima state park

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Investigators are still unclear as to what was found near Yakima Sportsman State Park. We also learned the area is on county land -- not at the park.

A Yakima park ranger stumbled across what he believed to be a meth lab in a cave over the weekend.

The county's drug task force is calling it a bunker.

People who work nearby say they see people walking near the area frequently.

"There's occasional rift raft around here," said Jessee Oliver, who works nearby. "Especially because of the scrap yard right next to us. So there could be rift raft from that."

Detectives were sent to the bunker this afternoon to investigate. We're told they should have more information by Wednesday.
