CWU stabbing victim's cause of death revealed

ELLENSBURG, Wash.-- Following a Wednesday autopsy, the cause of death for Hector Mejia Villa has been determined. According to the Kittitas County Coroner, Villa died from a stab wound to the heart. The manner of death has been ruled a homicide. The investigation remains ongoing.

Mejia Villa was found stabbed in a CWU parking lot Saturday night. He died hours later at the hospital. He was not a student or employee of the university.
