Court documents: New suspect identified in shooting near Seasons

YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA has learned that a new suspect has been identified in last month's shooting outside the Seasons Performance Hall.

According to court documents, new evidence suggests Luis Rodriguez-Perez may have fired the shots that killed Damarius Morgan on the night of Mar. 22.

An affidavit says a surveillance camera at a nearby business is one of the pieces of evidence pointing toward Rodriguez-Perez as the likely suspect.

Rodriguez-Perez will make a preliminary appearance in court today. He is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

There has been no word on what these developments mean for William Martinez, who had previously been identified as the suspected shooter. Martinez appeared in court on a second-degree murder charge last week.
