Court docs: Man breaks into ex-girlfriend's home, attacks her on violent rampage
SUNNYSIDE, Wash. -- A Sunnyside man accused of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and attacking her and her boyfriend made his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
Kirk Hollmeyer, 58, is facing a charge of burglary-domestic violence after court papers said he broke into the victim's home at about 3 a.m. on Thursday and assaulted her and her boyfriend, hitting them several times in the face.
Court documents said Hollmeyer chased them throughout the home, threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend before following her into the basement where she escaped to her car.
Court papers said Hollmeyer broke windows, wine bottles, and threw jars of canned asparagus that damaged the car.
Hollmeyer has been ordered to stay away from the victim with his bail set at $75,000.
