YAKIMA, Wash. -- Some good news for Cougar fans. Your votes and donations declared Yakima "Cougarville." Crews spent the day painting crimson and gray stripes down Yakima Avenue. They also raised WSU flags at the Convention Center and the Larson Building. It was all part of a fundraiser for the Yakima Rotary Club -- which paid for the paint. Organizers said they raised nearly three-thousand dollars.
"Just been a supporter. It's been born to me to support the cougs. I'm continuing the tradition," said Sean Tudor.
That money will support rotary charities. Each vote cost 20 dollars. The final tally for Cougars was 62, and Huskies had 35.
