Convicted Yakima meth dealer sentenced to life in prison
YAKIMA, Wash. - A convicted drug dealer in Yakima has been sentenced to life in prison.
The Department of Justice announced 39-year-old Johnny Andres Asuncion, III, of Yakima was sentenced Thursday after he was convicted of dealing meth back in November of 2017.
According to court documents, law enforcement caught Asuncion with illegal drugs while he was the subject of a warrant for violating his court supervision in early 2017.
Authorities found nearly one kilogram of meth in a case inside the car Asuncion was driving.
Senior U.S. District Judge Edward F. Shea sentenced Asuncion to life in prison for multiple drug convictions.
Reports state he also had prior convictions of gun possession.
