UNION GAP, Wash. --As the temperatures cool down, plenty of people are still in need of warm clothing. It's the reason why this giant clothing drive was held in Yakima this afternoon, and clearly the need was there. As many as 40 large black bags were filled with clothes for families in need. People at the event tell us the help will go a long way at keeping them warm this winter.
"It means a lot when you know just regular people are out here donating time and clothes and warm drinks to the people like us that don't have much," said Imelda Colin, who attended the drive.
The event runs until 7:00 Saturday evening at L&Y Motors off of Main Street.
