Cleanup on abandoned gas station in Yakima starts soon

YAKIMA, Wash. -- An abandoned gas station in Yakima is expected to get cleaned up this summer. 20,000 gallons of gas leaked at the former Tiger Oil station in the 1980's.

Three other sites in Yakima were also contaminated. The most contaminated is the vacant business on 24th avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.

State grants would pay for most of the decontamination costs.
