Chinook Pass to reopen June 9
MOUNT RAINIER, Wash. - Chinook Pass is scheduled to reopen June 9, 2017.
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) press says SR 410 over Chinook Pass will reopen 8 a.m. Friday despite a forecast of snow.
WSDOT officials are cautioning drivers to be prepared for inclement weather while driving on the passes.
Crews will monitor snow to ensure snow cover does not affect the roads over the weekend of June 9-11.
SR 410, SR 123 and US 12 will be open to drivers throughout the summer with some construction delays according to transportation officials. Information of construction delays can be found here and here.
Mount Rainier National Park reports restrooms located at Tipsoo Lake will also be open June 9.
