Children's Village hosts Promise Awards, honoring those that care for our children

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Children's Village honored those that provide health care for our children with special needs on Thursday evening.

They hosted the second bi-annual Promise Awards, held at the 4th Street Theatre. It was a way to thank our community members who ensure all children get the services they need.

The awards were modeled after the Oscars, with six winners announced out of 100 nominees.

"November is the month of gratitude, and the Promise Awards recognize all the people that we're so grateful for everything that they give to Children's Village," said Jennifer Falk, Children's Village volunteer.

Miss Washington came as a special guest and master of ceremonies for the evening. And all proceeds will go back to benefit the programs and services at Children's Village.
