Central WA Recycling no longer paying for small amounts
YAKIMA, Wash. - Pretty soon folks won't be able to drop off a bundle of newspaper or plastic recyclables for cash.
Starting Monday, January 8, Central Washington Recycling on 102 North 2nd Avenue will only pay for newspaper and cardboard that weighs 400 pounds or more.
Plastic and aluminum must weigh at least 40 pounds.
People who do bring in enough to meet the new requirement will be given an account number and get paid the third week of each month.
