Burbank fire grows to 215 acres overnight

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- A brush fire eight miles north of Selah has grown to 215 acres. The fire broke out late Monday afternoon along I-82.

DNR crews say the fire is contained. Officials brought in a helicopter to fight the flames from above.

Heavy smoke caused delays on I-82 and even forced DOT officials to shut down the freeway temporarily Monday evening.

Officials say nobody has been hurt and no homes are threatened.

Editor's note: Initial reports indicated the fire was contained Monday. DNR officials now tell us the fire grew overnight.
