Bags & bins topped with apples for local food banks

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Bags, bins and ladders litter this apple field. Northwest Harvest and volunteers are picking apples for a cause.

Roughly 40,000 pounds worth of apples will be distributed to local food banks all over Central Washington.

Volunteers have picked nearly 18,000 pounds. They are looking to finish the job this weekend.

All volunteers are welcomed.
