Attempted armed robbery halted when store clerk fires gun shot

YAKIMA, Wash. - Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred Sunday involving two men wearing beanies and blue bandannas.

Yakima Police Department (YPD) reported two men entered the In and Out store located on Tieton Drive Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. with firearms.

The In and Out store clerk fired a shot from a gun and the two men fled according to authorities.

No one was believed to be hurt but police are investigating.

YPD describe the suspects as young, possibly Hispanic men between the ages of 18 and 24 with heights between 5'3 and 5'8. Facial features were unclear as bandannas were covering their faces.
