300 people came out the Yakima Greenway for the 3rd Annual 5k Turkey Trot, which is about 120 more people than last year.
This year's event brought in about $4,000.
"It's not easy for families that have a family member with a disability to go camping and so we try to help them out as much as we can. And the focus is on having fun," said Camp Manager Shirley Thietje.
Camp Prime Time is mostly run with the help of volunteers. It has been around for the last 25 years and provides a free three day wilderness experience to families that have children with severe illnesses or disabilities.
