21-year-old seriously injured in Yakima shooting
YAKIMA, Wash. - A man is critically injured from a gunshot wound after police say someone shot him.
Yakima police responded to the shooting Saturday around 8 p.m. at the 300 block of Quince Avenue to find a 21-year-old man with a serious gunshot wound.
Medics took the victim to a local hospital and later air lifted him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.
YPD detectives said another 21-year-old man, Lamberto Valenzuela-Reyna, had been handling a shotgun in his home when it went off and injured the victim.
Police arrested Valenzuela-Reyna and took him to Yakima County Jail on an assault charge.
