2 marijuana business applications turned in to Yakima County

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- You can now get an application to sell recreational marijuana. Since the paperwork came available Monday, two people have applied in Yakima County.

Both were done in person at the Yakima office of the Department of Revenue.

Applications can be turned in up until the week before Christmas.

The state set a cap at 334 retail stores.

Applicants granted a license will be drawn from a hat of those who qualify.
