Woman pleads guilty to almost 60 counts of theft

Purse snatcher pleads guilty to 27 counts of stolen property, ID theft charges

YAKIMA, Wash.- A Wapato woman was sentenced to almost 30 months in jail and $5,000 in fines for stealing purses from multiple victims.

Reylinda Alvarado, 34, was booked into Yakima County Jail on May 3 after she was initially charged with almost 60 counts of possession of stolen property and identification theft.

Court documents said Alvarado stole purses, used credit cards and cashed checks that were inside purses that she stole.

Walmart video surveillance reportedly showed her stealing purses from customers.
