Trial scheduled for Sunnyside stabbing suspect
YAKIMA, Wash. - A man accused of a stabbing at a Sunnyside laundromat just over a year ago is scheduled to stand trial on assault charges.
According to court records, Jose Linares stabbed another man who was putting his clothes away in his car on Lincoln Avenue.
Documents say Linares asked the man what gang he was with and then stabbed him in the back.
The police report says the victim had his two young daughters with him and has no record of being affiliated with a gang.
Linares' trial is scheduled to start March 6.
